Election 2008 — America’s Soul Is At Stake!

Okay, the most important election in a generation is upon us.  So, what’s at stake?  If you listen to McCain, it should be all about biography and personality.  So, I guess that means if you like his biography and personality, enjoyed the past eight years and want to have a serving of four more years, you absolutely have to vote for him and Miss  “Pitbull with Lipstick.”  If you listen to Obama, this election is about big things, like the direction of the country, the two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, improving our standing in the world and the lives of everybody at every level.  So, if you had  ENOUGH  and know that we absolutely need to change the direction this country has been put on over the past eight years, you absolutely have to vote for Obama/Biden.

If you are still  “undecided”  (and I don’t even know how anybody still could be at this point with so much at stake), but okay, here is what this election is about:

Not only will we decide the direction of this country over the next four or eight years at least, but also the direction of the Supreme Court over the next generation.  The next president will appoint at a minimum three justices to the Supreme Court and they will have more influence on everybody’s daily life than almost anything or anybody else.  For a generation.  If nothing else has closed the deal for you so far to support Obama/Biden, think about what’s at stake:  All the progress that has been made over the past generation in improving people’s lives.  It’s simple as that.  Don’t be fooled into thinking that this election is not about big things.  It is.  It’s about

It’s that simple.  And now

  2. You are right. This election is about America’s soul.

McCain and Palin are good, decent people.
    So are Obama and Biden.
There is, though one glaring difference.
McCain/Palin want to continue the Iraq war.
    Obama/Biden want to end it.

I want to discuss something Republicans REALLY love: Money.

Estimates are that just under 100,000 people have been killed in Iraq.

Cost estimate: $3 TRILLION final, $1 TRILLION spend so far

COST TO US: between $10 and $30 million per terrorist!

Ya know, I just don’t think we’re getting our money’s worth, Aye?!!
Do you? I say we END THIS WAR!
