Sarah Palin: Still An Embarrassment? You Betcha…

CASK1BXKCAXBKDK9CAA3A0R9CALYL5CTCAC77KGKCAZJZI4FCAWX9Y95CAI36H3PCAP4TBZ5CALB7S4ICAALKGI4CA01UX1ICAQ0NOPUCAKL3PHGCA2GCIKFCARBEODGCA8251HDCAUPN1AU

And so it makes three…..

After Republican Sen. John Ensign, NV, declaring one week, that he indeed did ‘have sex with that woman,’  his staffer, it was Republican Gov. Mark Sanford’s, SC, turn.  And he is still talking as I am writing this…  Erotic confessions about his Latin lover’s tan lines and breasts, and lines he may or may not have crossed completely with other women, and about hiking in Appalachia, or having sex in Argentina, or both…  And he’s still talking, to the point where one of his Republican brothers in SC wished in an interview, that he would just  ‘SHUT UP!’ Now, who could top both of those stories?  Of course, there’s always the  ‘ Sarah Freak Show,’  topping everything else!  And she didn’t disappoint.

And that makes three…  🙂

On a Friday afternoon, at the beginning of a long 4th of July weekend, probably hoping, it would somehow get buried in that news cycle, here was good old Sarah with her never ending Freak Show, announcing that she would not run for a second term as Governor of Alaska.  Okay, most people expected that.  But wait!  There’s more!  She announced that she would also abandon the governorship by resigning at the end of this month.  WOW!

I literally had to force myself to listen to the entire 18 or so minutes of her incoherent, badly delivered, rambling speech.  It was pure torture!  Republicans will have to decide if they want to continue to be associated with this darling of the know-nothing, loony wing of their party.  It’s pretty telling, when Republican strategists comment that it’s a bad sign for any politician, after giving a high-profile speech, if people wonder whether you still have a future in politics. Probably not a very successful speech…  Out of pure self interest, though, I hope she stays in politics and in the news for a long time to come…  🙂

As for the reasons?  I’m sure, we will find out soon what prompted this erratic behavior, whether it be a multi-million-dollar book deal, or a radio/TV show, or a brewing scandal.  We’ll hear about it, believe me…  over and over and over again…

Because there’s just no end to the  ‘Sarah Freak Show’ …..   🙂

Michele Bachmann — Certified Moron

‘Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt.’ — Abraham Lincoln

s-MICHELE-BACHMANN-large[1]

There are certainly many prominent figures who are part of the  ‘know-nothing, nutjob, right wing of the Republican Party.’  Next to Sarah Palin, a second female member of that group has emerged, who also can only be described as a  ‘certified moron.’

During the presidential campaign, Michele Bachmann, Republican, 6th district, Minnesota, already made a name for herself by suggesting on a national TV show that Barack Obama might hold  ‘anti-American views’  and she wanted members of Congress investigated to see whether they are  ‘pro-American’  or  ‘anti-American.’  I guess the pro-American areas are the rural red states with small towns and the Republicans residing there which amount to, let’s be generous here, about 25% of the population.  And then the rest of us, the vast majority, are  ‘anti-American, terrorist-loving, America-hating, socialists.’  Well, all right then.

Do we live in  ‘Stupidistan?’  And is that located in the pro-American or the anti-American part of America?   🙂

As if that incident and fallout from it, which almost cost her her seat in the last election, wasn’t enough, she’s at it again, and you really have to ask yourself how low the Republican Party has sunk, that somebody that ignorant has become one of the prominent spokespeople of the party.  Here are the latest two examples of this moronic member of Congress:

In reference to the outbreak of the swine flu and who was to blame for it:

“I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat President Jimmy Carter.  And I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it’s an interesting coincidence.” — Michele Bachmann

I let the stupidity of this statement speak for itself, just one correction for Ms. Bachmann:  Republican President Gerald Ford, not President Carter led the country during that outbreak.  Just one of these inconvenient little facts…

When asked in a radio interview about President Obama’s cap-and-trade plans which are part of his energy policy:

“I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back.  Thomas Jefferson told us,  “Having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,”  and the people — we the people — are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country.  And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.” — Michele Bachmann

And in reference to Global Warming:

“The science is on our side on this one, and the science indicates that human activity is not the cause of all this global warming.  And that in fact, nature is the cause, with solar flares, etc.”

Here’s my suggestion for the good people of the 6th district in Minnesota:  Instead of having an armed revolution, why not having a peaceful one, by voting Ms. Bachmann out when she’s up for reelection in 2010?  Then again, out of pure self-interest, I hope she sticks around for a long time to come.  Just another perfect representative of today’s Republican Party.     🙂

Republican Party — Irrelevant

caqp92jdcagnlc32caeivv6rca0aephccarw3pjbcaqmqfheca5owl6ocacpgm4fca1hbsmfcak5pgepcaj9wchicamxp5tocata1uqccasv2fl0caum25smcaang7c4calplhv5cab2wkra
Republican Party —
Full of C**P

Okay, I’ve come to the point now, where I’m losing a little patience, watching the sad Republican theater over the past few days.  It’s funny how things like spending enormous sums of money we didn’t have on ill advised tax cuts and an unnecessary war, and with it putting our nation in a horrible debt situation, didn’t quite matter that much over the past eight years.  Now, that President Obama is trying to stimulate the economy and with it creating badly needed jobs, we hear whining from the very same people who were defending tax cuts and expenditures in Iraq just a few months ago.  I have a word for that:  Hypocrites.  And I don’t know about you, but I’m allergic to them… Here’s my message to the more and more irrelevant Republican Party:

YOU  LOST.  DEMOCRATS  WON.  PRESIDENT  BARACK  OBAMA  IN  CHARGE.  ANY  QUESTIONS ??

….. That’s right!  We voted for  CHANGE  and rejected the  STATUS QUO  and with it your tired old ideas!  So why don’t you work on rebuilding a badly shattered party instead of whining?  As of right now, your party is a regional one, mainly located in the South and even there, Democrats under the leadership of President Obama have made inroads.  But the rest of the country is pretty much lost territory, and it will be even worse with the demographic changes on the horizon.  If you don’t want to completely become irrelevant, show the people with your actions, that you want the best for the country, for once, by working constructively with Democrats and President Obama.

GET  WITH  THE  PROGRAM… OTHERWISE  WE  WILL  VOTE  YOU  OUT !!!

We are partly in this terrible situation because of you and the Bush administration screwing things up so badly…..

Special message to DICK Cheney who only took two weeks to now come out of his bunker criticizing President Obama:  Nobody wants to hear from you or Bush ever again, so go back to your bunker and lock the door.  When you warn about a fatal attack on the country while President Obama is in charge, you forgot to mention that 9/11 happened on your watch, and you were warned prior to the attack, and decided to do nothing.  Just some food for thought…  And in reference to you claiming a change in policies which includes getting rid of torture will cause such an attack, here’s an idea…  How about the brother of a guy who has been sitting in Guantanamo for five years and being tortured; or how about Al-Qaeda being able to reconstitute in the region between Pakistan and Afghanistan because you pulled out resources there; or how about the son from Iraq whose whole family has been killed…?  I think those are pretty good candidates to have ill feelings towards America…..

AND  YOU  ARE  RESPONSIBLE  FOR  THAT !!!

Sarah Palin In 2012? – Republican Party R.I.P.

The reports of tensions between the ‘Rogue Diva’ and John McCain come a little early, usually that doesn’t become public until after the defeat is finalized.  It’s an indication that everybody wants to position themselves as soon as possible to point fingers and blame others.  McCain, I’m sure, wants to salvage whatever is left of his reputation after his hateful and negative campaign and in the end, his responsibility of having picked a totally unqualified person as his VP candidate.  Sarah Palin, However, the $150,000 hockey mom, might have other ambitions.  There are rumors of her going rogue and staging an insurgency within the McCain camp, disregarding her handlers and advisers.  That can only mean one thing, positioning herself for:

SARAH  PALIN  IN  2012 !!!

If that indeed should be the case, we can collectively pick out a headstone for the Republican party, reading ‘GOP – R.I.P.’ ….. For a decade, or even an entire generation.  I have a sense that we will be witnessing something close to a civil war within the Republican party, starting on November 5th, the day after the election.  And it’s going to be a fight for the soul of the Republican party.  If you look back in history when one or the other party found themselves in the wilderness, that’s what always happened and often it took quite some time before that particular party managed to come back.  The Republican party of today faces such a dilemma that definitely will require deep soul searching and an all out fight between the various factions, and maybe that’s a good thing.

SEARCHING  FOR  THE  SOUL  OF  THE  REPUBLICAN  PARTY !!!

The ever shrinking base consists almost exclusively of evangelical extremists and the racist and nutjob anti-intellectuals we have been witnessing at the McCain and Palin rallies lately.  Sarah Palin is their ‘star’ because she is one of them.  However, other Republicans and everybody else are completely turned off by these radicals and their ‘hero’ Sarah Palin.  So, with this base alone and Sarah Palin as their pick for 2012, the Republican party will remain in the wilderness for a long, long time.  If they want to avoid that prospect, it seems to me that the rest of the party will have to figure out over time how to become relevant again with the ‘normal’ Conservatives and Intellectuals being in charge without alienating the base because they still will need their votes.  The first step to that recovery from an almost certain rout on November 4th will be to

NOMINATE  SOMEBODY  ELSE  IN  2012 !!!

Just a thought.  Not that we particularly care.

Message to Sarah:  Sorry, you only get one chance to make an initial impression and after flirting with you at first, we have discovered your real character and it’s not a pretty picture.  Sarah, we’re just not that much into you and decided we should start seeing other people.  You probably will be going back to your old boyfriend ‘Alaska,’ but after all that has happened over the past few weeks, the reunion may not be as sweet as you like.

SARAH  PALIN  HAS  BECOME  SUCH  A  DRAG  ON  MCCAIN,  SHE’S  HIS  ‘DRAG  QUEEN.’   🙂
